Navigating around in the app

Tapping on the menu button (top left) will bring up the navigation menu. This menu will allow you to access various pages of the app such as viewing past trips, creating reports, managing your vehicles and drivers and much more.

Setting up a Vehicle

Vehicles can be created and edited in the Vehicles page from the navigation menu. Vehicle details such as the registration plate, make, model, engine, driver are filled in on this page.

Bluetooth Auto Start/Stop Feature
Automatically start and stop trips when connected to your vehicle's bluetooth hands-free device. This feature is best for auto starting/stopping all trips when the iPhone is connected the bluetooth device, regardless of the location.

Places

NFC Tags
Create NFC tags to automatically start or stop trips for your vehicle. This feature requires you to have blank writeable NFC tags to assign to. Feature is available on iPhone XS or newer models running on iOS 14.0 and above.

Once you have assigned a NFC tag to a vehicle, you will just need to tap your iPhone over the tag and tap on the prompt to start/stop the trip.

Setting up a Driver

Drivers can be created and edited from the Drivers page from navigation menu.

Setting up Places (Geo-fenced locations)

Places are managed from the Places page from the navigation menu. A place can be your home, work or frequent client address. Travel Logs can automatically start and end trips when you depart or arrive at an assigned place. This all happens without you needing to open the app. This feature is best for auto starting/stopping trips when they either depart or arrive at the specified location.

You can also use the Places feature along with a Bluetooth device better suit your needs. This feature is best for auto start/stopping trips when they either depart or arrive at the specified location and is also connected to the specified bluetooth device. This feature is designed for locations that you may depart/arrive using various transport options that you don’t always want to track (i.e walking out of the office for lunch).

Creating Reports

Reports are created from the Reports page. The date range can be changed to allow you to have flexible date periods for your reports. There are also various filters for drivers and vehicles that can be applied.

The reports can be exported in PDF or CSV format. CSV formatted files can be opened in Microsoft Excel or Apple Numbers.

Reports can be saved directly to:
- iCloud Drive
- Dropbox (If you have the Dropbox app installed)
- Email
- iTunes File Sharing.

Viewing Routes

If you have the Record Routes option enabled in the application settings, the route of the trip will be recorded for you. Your routes can be viewed on the Routes page.

Each individual trip route can be exported out as a GPX file.

Adding/Recording and Managing a Trip

Trips are created by tapping on the + button from the Trips page (default startup page). If you are using any of the automated start/stop features (Bluetooth or Places), trips will automatically start recording for you once the conditions are met. You won't need to tap on + or fill in any values yourself.

There are also several shortcuts in creating a new trip. This can be from Siri Shortcuts, using the Travel Logs Widget, Apple Watch App or through 3D Touch (Force touch on the app icon).

To edit or stop a trip, tap on the in-progress trip.

To ensure that trips are recorded with minimal effort, make sure you have Pre-fill start odometer, Auto-fill locations, Track distance traveled in realtime enabled in the application settings.

Adding an Expense Item

Vehicle expenses are managed in the Expense page from the navigation menu. Expenses for each vehicle can be viewed by changing the selected vehicle. To change the selected vehicle, swipe left/right on the registration number.

Tapping on + will allow you to add a new expense item for the selected vehicle.

Expense records can be exported directly from the Vehicle expense page through the Action Button (next to the + button) or from the Reports page. Records can be exported as PDF or CSV.

Adding a Maintenance Record

Vehicle maintenance records are managed through the Maintenance page from the navigation menu. Records for each vehicle can be viewed by changing the selected vehicle. To change the selected vehicle, swipe left/right on the registration number.

Tapping on + will allow you to add a maintenance record for the selected vehicle.

Records can be exported directly from the Maintenance page through the Action Button (next to the + button) or from the Reports page. Records can be exported as PDF or CSV.
